Asus has launched it’s new Eee laptop series. These laptop are highly recommended to those who prefer portability than processing power.

These laptops are equipped with 900Mhz and 800Mhz Intel mobile processor but their size makes up to the lack of the processing power. The company has launched two different model based on size, the 8.9″ model comes with a 1.3 MP camera, 20 Gb HDD, 1 Gb RAM, 2 USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet 10/100 Mbps, Atheros 802.11 b/g wireless LAN, Inbuilt Mic and Speaker and is marked at 550 $ (USD). The other 7″ model lacks the webcam but have 4 GB HDD, 512 Mb RAM, 2 USB 2.0 ports, Ethernet 10/100 Mbps, Atheros 802.11 b/g wireless LAN, Inbuilt Mic and Speaker and is marked at 450 $ (USD). These laptop comes with Linux but the company is also providing a Window XP driver cd. These laptop are best suited for surfing net but also can run Microsoft word 2003 smoothly making it a complete laptop for office use.
