Submitted by Asif on Tuesday, 5 January 2010One Comment

if you are not aware of Google’s goo.gl. it’s a Link Shortner , and if you are still not aware of what url shortner is, let me tell you it shortens the long urls like http://gadge8.com/folder-shaped-pen-driver/ into something like this http://goo.gl/HNCB both the urls will lead you the same page.

How to use goo.gl directly from your Browser.

Here is what you have to do, Download Google Chrome Which Supports Extensions,(Chrome Grabs Number 3rd Position in Market Share) then download the goo.gl shortner extension.

Install the goo.gl shortner extention

it will show on the right hand side, right in from of the address bar. and when you open the page in your Google Chrome Browser you can short the url right from your browser.

Use goo.gl from Firefox Browser

Well, if you are a Firefox user, don;t worry, it’s there for you too. If you use Firefox, I suppose you know how to install it. That save little bit of my effort. thanks.

If you are a Internet Explorer user, i would Recommend you To Download Firefox or Google Chrome, or both, there is a lot of room for them in your PC.
